Within the context of this book, winning refers to the attainment of a successful outcome, regardless of the context, and although many of the concepts and ideas discussed will be confined primarily to the interpersonal relationships among individuals and presented in the framework of a business or family environment, they are also applicable when dealing with members of a civic organization, a church group, a professional organization, or any other group where people interact or work together for some common goal.
