Afterlives of Romantic Intermediality addresses the manifold, even global artistic developments that were initiated by European Romantics. Overall, the contributions in this volume demonstrate that intermedial connections—or sometimes the conscious lack of such connections—embody intriguing aspects of modernity and postmodernity.
