Topics covered include: breeds of animals; varieties of crop plants; diseases; soils; fertilizers; agricultural methods (e.g., irrigation); crop sales; and commodity markets. The text also includes copious illustrations, charts, and tables. A comprehensive supplement includes charts and tables showing crop production, livestock, land classification, and other data useful to students and researchers in agriculture.
