The methodology for this is based on long-established philological and philosophical work carried out by the author in his career as a biblical and translation scholar. This book innovatively marries together philological and philosophical depth and detail with a humane and lucid appreciation of how translation manifests and shapes the human condition. Since the book marries detailed research into translation theory with analyses of Biblical and classical texts, it will appeal to a range of scholars.
