“In tracing the careers of these varied people … tantalising snippets of national history are recounted in brief quotes from their lives. These alone make the book a fascinating read … Beyond history, 100 Inspiring Rafflesians is an inspirational book about making something of your own life. Whether your aspirations are humble or elevated, whether you are from a simple or advantaged background, the message in each and every one of the stories within is the same: you can make your own success.”
