Traditional nutritional and genetic technologies have advanced feed efficiency and productivity in the dairy industry over the past several decades, and the movement toward individual animal feeding is expected to advance this trend. Precision livestock monitoring and management technologies will be critical to advancing the individual feeding of animals, however, numerous improvements in the functionality and usability of these systems will be important for optimizing the utility of these technologies.
