Second, putting forward a nuanced understanding of the post-truth phenomenon requires a combination of conceptual, empirical, and historical analysis. Third, this volume brings together considerations from the philosophy of history, epistemology, philosophy of science, political philosophy, psychoanalysis, phenomenology, and philosophy of art to provide a careful analysis of both the negative and reactionary characteristics of the post-truth phenomenon as well as its positive and liberatory potential.
