Originally published in 1937, Aspects of a Changing Social Structure presents lectures delivered in 1936 on behalf of the Sir Halley Stewart Trust. These lectures focus on discussing the interest that government was beginning to take in Britain’s social welfare and industrial patterns. Topics covered include nutrition, child welfare, housing and health in relation to individuals and the state as well as new developments in industrial organisation and the future of the agricultural and coal industry.
