African Languages in Practice

The book discusses disruptive reportage on gender-based violence, impact of English usage on congregants, and misogynistic language in social media. It examines intergenerational cultural transmission, language and identity of black urban youth, survival of indigenous children's games in digitalisation, and cultural meaning of personal names through historical and sociolinguistic analysis, and also:
