This book is not a legend but a recounting of true events, preserved in the memory of those who lived them. It tells the saga of a Jewish family, from its Ukrainian roots in the early nineteenth century to its branches that emigrated to the five continents over two hundred years. They lived at the edge between fantasy and the reality, transcribed in this historical novel faithful to what in fact happened. There were victories and many defeats. Insecurity and uncertainty about the future characterized their destiny. They fought to survive, but they did not achieve peace. Each protagonist is their own author, revealing their true name and portraying their own existence. Much more could have been written, but the essentials remained to be honored by readers, who dignify all with their view and interpretation.
