This book offers an insight into the Armenian diasporic communities in India through the lens of diaspora studies. It focuses on the dynamics of the communities within urban spaces, their affiliations and affinities within and beyond their ‘memory’ and highlights complexities of the Armenian diasporic communities in India. It studies identity transformations through time and space and how the community integrates with the society in the host country. It also underlines how cultural, linguistic and political transformations in India, from being part of the British Empire to Independence, helped form a critical consciousness among the Armenian communities settled there.
