Each poem is designed to be taken on its own merit, and each poem is meant to allow the reader to feel as if they were a part of the poem. Sometimes, our emotions are so deeply tucked into hardened outer casings that we almost forget that they are there. Whether read quietly or aloud, the poems within this collection seek to soften that outer casing and allow the reader to feel the reward.
