First Published in 1972, Youth in a Changing Society examines the ‘youth problem’, dealing with questions of alienation, drugs, juvenile crime, protest, the social cultural position of young people in Britain, and suggests a new way of thinking which should promote greater understanding of the relationships between the generations. The author, who is a leading authority in the area of youth and their activities, proposes ways in which social and educational agencies may put this understanding to practical use by creating a constructive relationship between the generations and between youth and our society.
