Apologetics seeks a rational justification of the Christian faith to both defend Christianity and provide evangelistic opportunity. Danish theologian/philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, seen as an antagonist in numerous apologetic circles, offers a counterbalance to the polemical, objective arguments for the Christian faith. Kierkegaard is a needed voice in apologetics—an asset to the apologetic enterprise—speaking to our condition as humans who are more than just “thinking things.”
