This exquisite collection of dozens of Regency Riddles, created by an anonymous talented scribbler, reproduces an 1822 book compiled by John Winter Jones (1805–1881), an English librarian who became the first President of the Library Association in the United Kingdom. Divided into three sections, it includes riddles made up of short rhymes, "charades," which are riddles with a simple three-line structure (my first is x, my last is x, my whole is x), and conundrums, which are similar to 19th-century dad jokes, with the solutions included neatly in the back.
