Asia Bond Monitor – November 2025

This edition notes stable financial conditions in emerging East Asia as regional economic growth, US monetary easing, and trade deals offset lingering uncertainty. It reviews recent developments in local currency bond markets and analyzes risk spillovers between carbon and green bond markets. The authors report that the expansion of the region’s local currency bond markets accelerated to 3.2% in Q3 of 2025 from 3.0% in the previous quarter, while accommodative monetary stances supported expansion in the sustainable bond markets of ASEAN+3 economies.
