Mapping India–Pakistan Relations 1947–2022

This book is a comprehensive study of the history and contemporary nature of the politics and relations between the two main subcontinental rivals of South Asia: India and Pakistan. It analyses the class structure and discourses of democracy and development in both India and Pakistan, apart from all the major issues that dominate the history and contemporary politics of India–Pakistan relations. It also examines the Kashmir dispute, cross-border terrorism, the nuclear discord between India and Pakistan, the role of the United States in South Asia and the various confidence-building measures (CBMs) initiated between India and Pakistan, as well as outlines the future course of India–Pakistan relations.
