This book explores the intersections between communication and transnationalism from interdisciplinary and multimethodological perspectives.
Transnationalism is a contested space where differences among people, knowledge, materials, trades, and capitals are configured within and beyond national borders. Recognizing that transnationalism remains a key driver of major social, cultural, political, and economic developments globally, this handbook assesses the current dynamics of power flows. Featuring the work of an international team of scholars, the handbook includes a wide range of critical communication and media perspectives, including but not limited to diaspora, queer/trans, intersectional, postcolonial, and decolonial approaches to transnationalism. It is divided into five thematic parts addressing key issues and concerns:
